steps Particle-In-Cell simulations for highly oscillatory
Vlasov-Poisson systems
We propose a time-stepping algorithm for solving 2d and 4d multi-scale
Vlasov-Poisson systems
in a Particle-In-Cell framewok. As an exponential integrator, the new scheme
allows to use large time steps
compared to the size of the oscillations in the solution. We discuss the
accurate long time behaviour and
the observed asymptotic-preserving property with respect to the limiting
system.
